Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Welcome to Tech Stuffs. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of techstuffs.net (the “Site”), operated by Tech Stuffs (“we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree with any part of them, please don’t use the Site.

1. An Independent Android Resource

Tech Stuffs is an independent website that publishes guides, tutorials, troubleshooting help and news about the Android platform.

We want to be completely clear about the following:

  • Tech Stuffs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or officially connected to Google LLC, the Android Open Source Project, the Open Handset Alliance or any of their partners.
  • Our author, Derek Westcott, is an independent technology writer. He does not work for Google or Android and doesn’t represent them in any official capacity.
  • We are also not affiliated with any smartphone manufacturer, mobile carrier or app developer mentioned on the Site, such as Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Motorola or others, unless we clearly say otherwise.
  • Nothing on this Site is official support from Google, Android or any device maker. For official help, warranty claims or account issues, please contact the relevant company directly.

Trademarks

Android, Google, Google Play, Pixel and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC. Samsung, Galaxy, One UI and other brand names, product names and logos mentioned on the Site are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. We use these names only to identify the products and services we write about. This use doesn’t imply any affiliation with or endorsement by the trademark owners.

2. Informational Purposes Only

All content on Tech Stuffs is provided for general informational and educational purposes. We work hard to keep our guides accurate and current, as described in our Editorial Policy. Still, Android varies widely between devices, manufacturers, software versions, carriers and regions, and it changes frequently.

This means:

  • A guide may not match your exact device or software version.
  • Settings, menu names and features may change after an article is published.
  • A solution that works on one phone may not work on another.

You are responsible for deciding whether a guide applies to your situation before following it.

3. Use the Instructions at Your Own Risk

Some procedures we explain can change how your device works or erase your data. These include factory resets, clearing app data, installing apps from outside Google Play, enabling developer options, unlocking the bootloader, rooting, flashing firmware or installing custom ROMs.

Before following any guide, we strongly recommend that you:

  • Back up your important data, such as photos, contacts and messages
  • Read the entire guide, including any warnings, before you start
  • Check that the steps apply to your device model and Android version
  • Understand that some modifications may void your warranty, stop certain apps (such as banking apps) from working, or affect your device’s security

You follow any instructions on this Site at your own risk. Tech Stuffs isn’t responsible for any data loss, device damage, malfunction, security issue, warranty loss or other harm that results from using information found here.

4. No Warranties

The Site and all content on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee that:

  • The content is complete, accurate, reliable or up to date
  • The Site will be available without interruption or errors
  • The Site or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components
  • Any result described in a guide will be achieved on your device

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tech Stuffs, its author and anyone involved in running the Site will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of, or inability to use, the Site
  • Any errors or omissions in the content
  • Actions you take based on information found on the Site
  • Third-party websites, apps, products or advertisements linked from or shown on the Site

This includes damages for loss of data, device damage, loss of profits or loss of use, even if we were told such damage was possible. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain liability exclusions, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

6. Intellectual Property

Unless stated otherwise, all original content on Tech Stuffs, including articles, text, graphics, screenshots we’ve created, logos and the Site’s design, is owned by Tech Stuffs and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may:

  • Read, share and link to our articles
  • Quote short excerpts for commentary, reviews or reference, as long as you clearly credit Tech Stuffs and link to the original article

You may not:

  • Copy, republish, scrape or redistribute full articles or substantial parts of them without our written permission
  • Present our content as your own
  • Use our content to train, build or feed automated systems in ways that reproduce it without permission
  • Remove copyright notices or other attribution

For copyright complaints about content on our Site, please see the DMCA section of our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers or related systems
  • Interfere with the Site’s operation, for example through hacking, overloading or distributing malware
  • Use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to collect content in bulk without permission
  • Use information from the Site to access, unlock or modify devices or accounts that you don’t own or aren’t authorized to use

Our guides often link to third-party websites, apps, app stores, downloads and tools. These links are provided for convenience. We don’t control third-party sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products, privacy practices or availability. A link doesn’t mean we endorse the site or what it offers.

Be careful when downloading apps or files from any source, and use trusted sources such as Google Play or the official developer’s website whenever possible.

The Site is supported by advertising. Ads are served by third-party networks, and we don’t control the specific ads shown. An ad appearing on the Site isn’t an endorsement of the advertised product or service.

Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you buy something through one of these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects our editorial decisions. How advertisers and analytics providers handle data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

10. Messages You Send Us

When you contact us with questions, suggestions or corrections, you agree that we may use the ideas or feedback in your message to improve the Site or create new content, without compensation to you. We won’t publish your name, email address or other personal details without your permission.

11. Indemnification

You agree to protect and hold harmless Tech Stuffs and its author from any claims, losses, damages or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Site after changes are posted, that means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force and effect.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes relating to these Terms or the Site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of USA.
